The Web plug-in allows you to show web pages on 3D surfaces, simply point the plug-in at the address you would like to display and it will render it into a texture. The texture is created as a fully interactive web page that responds to mouse and keyboard input as any normal 2D browser. Multiple pages can be created and positioned in 3D space and then simultaneously browsed.
Web surfaces can be simply built into virtual sets allowing seamless viewing of live web based information in the studio environment. As the displayed surfaces are interactive web pages presenters can use them to browse and show pages from the internet or to display interactive information prepared in-house. Fast changing data such as weather, financial news, sports results can be prepared using conventional web technologies and integrated into the 3D environment simply and cost effectively. It is also possible to control the browser using JavaScript enabling easy script based control of browsing or complex manipulation of displayed data from within eStudio.
